Twilit Fossil Stallord is the boss of the Arbiter's Grounds in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Characteristics[]

Stallord is the enormous skeleton of a huge beast found in a large sand-filled pit deep inside the Arbiter's Grounds. Its upper body is humanoid, however its skull is animal-like a horned, similar to a dragon. Embedded in its skull is the Twilight Sword, belonging to the false King of Twilight, Zant. The sword resurrected it, and is also its main weakness.

Story[]

As soon as Link enters the room, he notices the huge fossil lying lifeless in a large pool of sand. Zant then appears, shocked at Link's survival after their previous encounter, and strikes Stallord's skull with the Twilight Sword, re-animating the fossil, which Link is then forced to fight.

Battle[]

The battle starts out with Stallord attempting to swipe at Link. Around the pit is a track for the main dungeon item, the Spinner. Link must travel along the track, gaining speed while avoiding blades and Stallord's attacks, then jumping off and smashing into Stallord's spine, avoiding the skeletons Stallord summons to protect his vunerable vertebrae. After repeating this, Stallord's entire body crumbles, his eyes fade, the sandpit drains and the battle appears to be won. When Link approaches, Stallord rises once more as just as head, and summons a large pillar from what was the sandpit. Stallord flies around the pillar and Link must give chase by using the spinner to ride up the pillar, avoiding blades and Stallord's fireballs. By hopping from the pillar to the wall, Link will eventually catch up with Stallord and must smash into its head, knocking the skull to the ground. Link must quickly slash and attack the blade in Stallord's skull before the beast rises again. After repeating this technique, the sword in Stallord's skull will fly free and the skull will shatter.
